What Is Luck? Four Usages And How They Relate To You

What is Luck? Luck is a strange phenomenon and belief which define the entire attitude and experience of the people most especially of those who are negative, uncertain, or prone to doubt. It is also commonly called as the “invisible hand” in German speaking countries or the “hand of God.” Many people believe that in order to have any hope of improving their lives, they must change their luck by doing some acts that can affect their luck. There are many beliefs and practices associated with luck and the belief of the Law of Attraction to be true.

The concept of luck was first described by the Latin poet Virgil as the “luck of the Romans.” In the Aeneasian play, Aeschylus, there is a chorus who expresses their belief in the power of fate to grant people “good luck.” In many civilizations and ancient civilizations, people were advised not to turn back the wheel of fortune by getting involved in too much trouble. This is the reason why we do not hear too much about good fortune and bad luck anymore because it was regarded as superstition or old wives’ tales.

Luck is really a tricky concept. Many people claim that it is impossible to control your luck because anything can happen in any moment and there is no way to predict what will happen next. On the other hand, it is also said that no one is born a lucky person and we all have the capacity to be lucky. Luck is simply the action of being in a situation at the right time and the correct attitude for that situation.

One way of looking at luck is to see it as a kind of energy. We can interpret good luck in different terms such as “life’s energy” or “your chance” or “energy at its best.” It all depends on your point of view. But there are common characteristics like happiness, family, love, money, and fame that all could be interpreted as positive luck.

What about bad luck? It is said that some people just feel lucky when they lose, but what they don’t understand is that it is part of life and can also come about by uncontrollable circumstances. It could also be related to your financial status; if you feel lucky to win the lottery but if you lose everything because you overextended yourself, you could be considered unlucky but if you lose everything because you got careless and caused a car accident, well, you would call that good luck!
